Major shake up to citizenship requirements

Although actual legislation has not been passed on these proposed changes, however, any citizenship application lodged on or after 20th April 2017 will be assessed under these new requirements

Australian PR (As long as on or after 1 July 2007 for 12 months but been resident in Australia for 4 years.

No limit to taking the citizenship test Maximum of 3 times to sitting the citizenship test; new set will contain more meaningful questions; cheating will lead to failure of the test
Applicants must provide evidence of integration including employment, tax payments and schooling for children
